BEC
BEC stands for Business English Certificates(Cambridge English:Business Certificates)
Recognised by employers, ministries, government bodies and professional organisations throughout the world
Gaining a Cambridge English Business Certificates (BEC) gives an internationally recognised English language qualification.
When pass in BEC exam, a certificate will be awarded by University of Cambridge ESOL ( English for Speakers of Other Languages) Examinations as proof of qualification. The certificate is valid for life.
All first year students take BEC (preliminary) examination and necessary training is provided

GATE
Many public sector undertakings such as BHEL, Indian Oil Corporation, NTPC, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, BSNL (there are PSUs totalling 217 in number) are using the GATE score for selecting candidates for their organizations.
A good GATE rank assures a good job.
Preparing for the GATE questions helps you to experience the true essence of being an engineer, broadens your intellectual thought process and also improve your research & development skills
A good score in GATE is a prerequisite for getting admission to IITs, IIITs, NITs, IISc, and other acclaimed M. Tech institutions across India.
Students who qualify in GATE are entitled to a stipend of Rs 8,000 per month during their M.Tech course.
After joining M.Tech. at IITs and IISc, one can look at a salary package ranging from Rs 7 lakh to 30 lakh per annum, depending upon specialisation and performance.
Some foreign colleges such as the National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University and companies also consider the GATE score for their entrance process.

GRE
It's the most commonly required admission test for graduate school in abroad. GRE scores are accepted by most of the top graduate level schools for master’s degree programs (like the popular Master of Science degree – MS in USA).
Broad assessment in critical thinking, analytical writing, verbal reasoning, and quantitative reasoning skills
The maximum score for the test is 340
Some schools use the GRE for the selection of scholarship and fellowship
GRE scores are valid for five years after the test date

GMAT
Assesses a person’s analytical, writing, quantitative, verbal and reading skills in standard written English.
This test is taken in preparation for being admitted into a graduate management program, such as MBA and Masters in Finance related courses.
The maximum scaled score for the GMAT test is 800
The average scores required for universities abroad varies; top tier universities require at least 710, while middle tier universities accept 600.
GMAT exam scores are valid for five years, and are available for reporting for up to 10 years

Foreign Languages
With MNCs setting up operations in India, the requirement for professionals with knowledge of foreign languages is increasing.
Knowledge of German, French and Japanese languages has opened up job opportunities in multinational companies.

Banking exams
IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) periodically conducts Common Written Examination (CWE) for recruitment of Probationary officers / Management trainees in 20 Public sector/ Nationalized and other participating banks.
The growth in the banking sector encouraged many engineering students to join more secured and growth oriented industry
Every bank today has an Information Technology department.
ATMs, Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, Credit/Debit Card Management, all these departments need engineers.
Eligibility: Students of all branches of IV year
IELTS and TOEFL
Both these tests evaluate a candidate’s English language proficiency and are accepted not just by universities abroad but also by various organizations including immigration departments.
TOEFL, organized by the ETS, is accepted in most American universities and across 165 countries.
IELTS conducted by the British Council is accepted in over 135 countries, including the UK.
The IELTS 9-band scale. A band score of 6.5 is considered as a good score and it establishes a student's competence in using the English language.
The TOEFL iBT test is scored on a scale of 0 to 120 points. Many universities in the US have an 80 as their minimum requirement TOEFL score. (90-100) is considered a high score, which will get you in a TA or RA position in many university
TOEFL and IELTS scores have a two year validity period.
