HOD's Desk ...
The Department of Computer Applications has an excellent academic ambience and infrastructure for the successful conduct of the master’s programme in computer applications. It produces highly competitive and qualified IT professionals. The key to this effort is the coordination among the faculty, staff and the students. This success is attributed to the dedicated and responsible faculty members of our department who imparts quality education. But this will not happen without our bright and brisk students’ willingness to accept the challenges. For them learning does not end with mere getting a degree but is a continuous process because of the stable and speedy progress in computing technologies in their working environment. Therefore the department motivates and encourages the students to learn beyond the syllabus prescribed by taking part in seminars (by students) and by presenting papers in symposia and conferences. Also, the department prepares them to meet the challenges posed by the industry and to become accustomed to the changes. With best regards, V.J. Subashini Head i/c, Department of Computer Applications.
