I am pleased to have the opportunity to work with all of you so far and I am happy to say that I have learnt a lot in the past year with you in the Department.
In these times of enormous competition the only way ahead is networking of ,all kinds of resources, people, ideas, knowledge and expertise.
The Department combines to seek excellence in IT Education and research with a motive to service to industries and in turn to mankind. The core of the department is found around students and faculty. Together we can steer the
department along a path of evolution & revolution.

CLASS ROOMS
The classrooms are equipped with multimedia, LCD projectors and audio-visual equipment to facilitate effective learning. They are designed to promote maximum interaction between the faculty and students.
LABORATORIES
The department has spacious and fully air conditioned laboratory equipped with 120 systems in LAN connection to provide students for faster and high speed network access.

DEPARTMENT LIBRARY
In addition to the central library, the Department hosts a separate library with 250 Information Technology related books and also we have 50 CDs , 76 lecturer notes and 200 project books and Journals like PC Quest, Computers Today, Computer World, Express Computer, Data Quest, Information Technology, Linux for You, Network Computing, CIO, CHIP & Linux. The final year project reports of the various students have also been maintained for necessary reference. A computer terminal with internet access throughout the day is provided for the students.
ACHIEVEMENTS
Our Department encouraged students to participate in other college symposiums. Our students also won the prizes for various events conducted during symposiums.
1. R.Karthik and B.Sumathi presented a paper on ‘Page-Rerank for Image Search’ and got the
First prize in St. Peter’s Engineering College
2. MaheshRaja and Vishwaraj has won First prize in Quiz in S.A Engineering College.
3. S.Pradeeep has won First prize in Debugging in Meenakshi Sundararajan
Engineering College.

has represented ANNA UNIVERSITY HAND BALL TEAM held at SHIVAJI UNIVERSITY, KOLHAPUR during 12th to 15th November 2008.

has represented for 3rd ZONE COMBINED TEAM, held at MOHAMED SATHAK ENGINEERING COLLEGE,
Keelakarai during 01st to 03rd September 2008.
ATHLETICS
* P.SANAKIYAN of 1st year IT has won First place in 200 meters.
